November Update

Dear Friends,

As many may already know, effective Friday, October 30th, Annie's and my positions have been eliminated along with 35 others within the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) due to the state's revenue shortfall. (see links below.) click on "read more" on next line.

If ever there was a time to pull together it is now. DCR, the Schooner Ernestina Commission and our many friends are committed to the ship's preservation and rehabilitation efforts. A new non-profit, Schooner Ernestina Morrissey Association, Inc., has recently been established to raise funds for the ship.

It has been an honor and a privilege to be a part of the extended Ernestina family and to see her successfully through the $1.1-million rehabilitation of the front half of the vessel - on time and on budget!
Federal, state, and private donations made this possible. Thank you for all you have done and will continue to do for our venerable old lady.
